Pablo Valdes is the name behind Kashyyk. Born in 1977 in Mexico City, he began playing guitar at the age of 14. By age 18, he was playing professionally, performing for bands and singers, and working as a session musician in the meantime.
His biggest musical influence at that time was the virtuoso Steve Vai. With the progress of his musical growth, Pablo developed an interest in the arranging, production, and recording of music, as he also became a computer freak. Finally, at age 23, he set up his own home music production studio.
During that same period, a friend showed him Infected Mushroom's masterpieces "Classical Mushroom" and "The Gathering", and Pablo was instantly hooked. He realized that music could sound far beyond what he had previously imagined, and he decided to take a break from the guitar and start his musical approach from scratch. Years after that musical, spiritual, and mental "rebirth", he's been dedicating his life to producing dark, atmospheric, and crazy sounds.
